Advertising Disclosure

Shieldtova is not a lender and does not approve or deny loans or make credit decisions. Shieldtova provides a marketplace/matching service only and is not acting as a representative, agent, or correspondent for any lender or service provider. Shieldtova does not endorse any particular lender, loan product or service provider, and you are under no obligation to use our service or to accept any loan product from any lender we refer you to. This service is not available in all states.

How we're compensated

Using Shieldtova is free to you. Shieldtova may receive compensation from the lenders and other third parties in our network when we refer your request to them — typically a fee paid by the lender, not by you. This compensation does not affect whether any lender chooses to make you an offer, and it does not change any rate, fee or term a lender offers you. We do not accept payment in exchange for guaranteeing a match, an approval, or any specific rate or term to any lender.

How matching works

By submitting your information via this website, you authorize Shieldtova to share your request with a network of lenders, which may include a credit check (potentially through Experian, Equifax, TransUnion or alternative bureaus). There is no fee to submit a request. Based on the information you provide, Shieldtova will attempt to connect you with a lender that may be able to serve your needs.

After you're matched

If a lender is able to help, you will be directed to that lender's own site to review and, if you choose, e-sign their offer. All rates, fees and terms are disclosed by the lender directly at that point — review them carefully before agreeing to anything. You are under no obligation to accept terms you're not comfortable with. Once you sign with a lender, your agreement is with that lender, and any repayment or loan-specific question is between you and them, not Shieldtova.

A note on short-term borrowing

Short-term loans and cash advances are intended as short-term financial relief, not long-term financial solutions. If you're facing ongoing debt or credit difficulty, consider speaking with a nonprofit credit counselor. See our Rates & Fees page for more on the risks involved, and check your state's specific rules — Shieldtova does not offer or solicit certain short-term products in states where they are restricted or prohibited by law.
